I was worried about the wood drying out after two winters of rain and snow, but this soaked right in and beaded water off within a day. One gallon did the whole playhouse with some left over, and the brown blends in with the factory finish instead of looking painted on.
The gallon covered our whole swing set with a bit left over, and it went on way easier than I expected with a brush. After two rainstorms the water still beads right up instead of soaking in, which is exactly what we needed.
I put this on our old playhouse two weekends ago and the water just beads up now instead of soaking in. The bear brown color is a touch darker than the faded factory stain, but it blends in fine once it dries. Took a full afternoon to brush on, but worth it before winter hits.
