Went on thin and even with a brush, no lap marks even on the uprights. The factory water-repellent coat was wearing thin after two winters, so this went down as a refresher before the rainy season. Rain beaded right up on the slide rails the next morning.
One gallon covered our whole swing set with a bit left over, and it went on the weathered wood way smoother than I expected. Our playhouse took a beating last winter, so I'm hoping this extra coat keeps the water out. Just wish it came in a smaller size for touch-ups.
